Webinar Description: A recent study by Aberdeen suggested that as many as 87% of new employees are not fully committed to a new job for the first six months. Lackluster engagement and performance by new employees significantly affect business results; organizations must become more effective with developing and delivering outstanding experiences that connect new employees to the company, a new team and their new roles...as well as connecting those experiences to the bottom line. In this session, participants will discover the impact that onboarding has on both new employee and organizational success, and walk away with easy-to-implement strategies to apply in an existing onboarding program.
Learner Application: Webinar participants will analyze the impact (good or bad!) of their existing onboarding programs on business results and explore the results of a case study with simple strategies that can be applied to a new or existing program.
Participants, including those who do not currently utilize strategic onboarding in their organizations, will walk away with an arsenal of must-capture metrics to consider when getting started with onboarding program development or modifying an existing program.
About Presenter Bio: Michelle Baker is a passionate talent development facilitator, leader, consultant and champion of workplace learning for nearly 20 years. Throughout her career, she has successfully led results-minded teams and developed innovative, award-winning employee development strategies in financial services, education, retail and technology industries. Michelle’s efforts contributed to recognition by Training magazine’s Top 125 in 2016 and 2017.
