Webinar Description:

How do you feel about virtual training? Virtual training can be a great and cost-effective way to deliver content to or educate employees, customers, and clients, but it can also be a snooze-fest if not done right. Exchange tips, treats, tools, and ingredients to ensure your next virtual training is engaging and informative. Learn tips on how to get to know your audience quickly but also connect with them on an emotional level. Discuss additional engaging and interactive formats and methods to keep track of how people perform and provide feedback immediately. Facilitator, Trainer, Leadership Consultant, and Professor, Kristy Tyson will discuss her experiences and scholarly research on equitable and engaging virtual training for Talent Development Leaders.

About the Presenter:

Kristy F. Tyson is a Buffalo, NY native and Assistant Professor of the Practice and Program Director for the Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership Program at Medaille University.  Tyson has experience developing and implementing curriculum, program assessment, faculty mentoring, and leadership development. Tyson is also an Instructor for the Business and Liberal Arts Department at Bryant and Stratton College, a Harvard Business School Publishing Educator, an affiliate of Harvard Business School, and the Primary Faculty Advisor for the Enactus Student Organization at Medaille University.

She said her teaching approach is based on equity and inclusion. "I infuse my life experiences into my teaching and am always mindful of the real interests and struggles of the students. I take responsibility for more than just myself and teach business to foster the imminent ethical change needed in the next generation of supervisors, managers, CEOs, and leaders."  Tyson's ability to ground her teaching in real-world experience while remaining true to her commitment to equity and inclusion makes her an excellent role model for students.
